I have both a lot and very little to report today. I haven't contributed in a while and wanted to fix that with something today.

I read on the latest blog tab that andy m had written a goodbye a few days ago. I should write him an email first but I'm reversing the order this time.

Andy wrote a warm and encouraging comment on my first post earlier this year. His and others' reply along with chatting with people helped me deal with emerging events which began this time last year. All of these kept me posting and visiting the web site which provided me self and group-powered talk therapy when times are tough. There were many times this year where I didn't want to post or wondered why I was doing it; I think that's natural in an online identity.

I guess if I had to distill it into a short request it would be: Andy, please reconsider. A community is what makes this place work.
