News this morning is a simple-partial moments ago sitting in front of my computer. I think it was less than 30 secs. Don't I know how to start a weekend?

This week was pretty good aside from that recent event. Columbus Day I had off and the shop was pretty normal this week. On Thursday, I was a guest lecturer for a filmmaking class at Emerson College. I was asked by a local filmmaker Rob Spruill to do a 16mm camera workshop. The second part of the lecture will be on Tuesday's class.

Early on in the lecture/demo I was writing stuff on the board or talking and Rob interjects to his students with, "This is good stuff, you guys should be writing this down". After the class I walked over to the Registry of Motor Vehicles and turned in my plates so I can stop paying for insurance I don't use. The car is at my parents house and the next step is to sell it. I don't think I'll be driving for at least another six months; and try not to think about it in general. But the saving money component I like.

Tonight I'm going to my friends' Alex and Jessica's for a small dinner party, I'm in charge of bread. Hopefully I can find out a budget number from her regarding a video installation for an art show she and another artist are planning for '08. Then again I may just relax and talk to her about it later.

Next week I'm going to a Boston premiere of a film I worked a few days on in summer 2006 and a doctor appointment.

Guess which one I'm looking forward to?
