Saturday morning. I feel slightly better than I did yesterday; I have the cold. I left work early yesterday and slept from the afternoon until just a moment ago. I'm pretty sure I caught it from another camera assistant who was in my shop on wednesday; He was blaming his kids but I also heard from a PA that day everyone in the production community has it.

It was then that I heard my mind say, "oh crap, I'm next".

I had the appointment with the neurosurgeon on Tuesday. Very nice guy. I mic'd him up and dropped my sound recorder in his coat and listened to what he said. He told me I am a surgical candidate and his personal success rate is 80-85% but my seizure frequency is pretty low and wanted to take a "wait-and-see" approach before we take the big step to surgery. The surgeon is originally from Canada and told me about his brother who has an FX house in Montreal after he saw my recorder and asked what I did for a living.

Today, I'm meeting a visual-artist whom I met through Jessica to shoot some video footage of her in her studio working. Tomorrow, I'm covering a friend of mine loading film for NFL Films at the much-anticipated Patriots-Chargers Sunday Night Football. I also got a call from "The Women" to see if I wanted to work for them on Monday 6AM.

I declined because I'll get back from the game around 12:30 or 1am. Perhaps not too long ago I would have accepted; I just can't do that anymore.

I think I may have had a seizure on Wednesday afternoon after work. I was in my apartment and started feeling "that way". This feeling stretched out for an unusually long time about 2 min. I laid down in my bed and felt I could feel better by trying to nap.

I did wake up not too long after, couldn't really tell you how long, and was way more tired than just waking up from a normal nap and was a little confused. When I've had seizures in my place before it has never been in my bed but in the hallway or bathroom and I'd wake up on the floor. This one was a little tougher to call as I woke up in bed.

I have an appointment with my neuro at Lahey this Tuesday; I'll let him know about it.

stay well.
