So I spoke with Kaitlyn's doctor on Friday, late afternoon and she said that she doesn't think that the Keppra is working and that her bad attitude if from the Keppra, not the terrible two's. If it was the terrible two's it wouldn't be nearly as severe as it is, and it also wouldn't be an all day and sudden change in attitudes. So we have 3 options for medications and I am not sure which one is better than which, or which one is better to try first. I am not really ready to try another one, but I am not ready to NOT try another one and then have her have more seizures. I suppose it's a catch 22. So we can either start Lamictal, Zonegram, or Topamax. I am not really sure if we want to try the Topamax yet. That is the one at the start that I wasn't wanting to start. I am either thinking Zonegram or Lamictal but I know that Lamictal has a high rate of the rash and reactions but reading about it, it seems like that one might help her. I don't know. It's so confusing, and hard to pick one over another. I wish I could say, um.. .none. Well that's all. It's just a bummer that we are already having to change the medications.
