June Update

Well, my son is at 25 mg/day of Clobazam (frisium) and is still seizing. Without meds he was having about 1 a month. He had 2 seizures in April, skipped all of May... and then promptly made up for it by having a seizure June 1st and then again June 2nd. Both of them first thing in the morning (5:45 am) My husband heard him both times and when we went to him the first time he was grunting out "Help!" "Help!" between convulsions. When the jerking finally slowed down and stopped, he took a deep breath and said "It's over!" He was "with it" right after and said that he was calling for help as loud as he could. (it was barely a whisper.) He has never talked during a seizure before... is that unusual? Then this morning i decided to ask him questions to see if he could answer and he could answer yes and no during the seizure. He said this time that the room was dark and shadowy during the seizure (he has said that happened once before) Right now i'm debating what to do. His therapeutic dose was supposed to be 20...he's at 25 and i think they can go up to 30 with him. He has had no side-effects with this drug. I'd rather "up" this drug than try him on another one that may have more side-effects?... why does every little decision have to be such an agony! Still hoping and praying for a miracle.
