Half way through the day I decided that I would call the Neurologist back because Kaitlyn was having a rather rough day. She woke up at 5:00 am and was screaming and upset, pretty sure that she had another seizure. The rest of the day she had been having alot of mood swings and outbursts and I just couldn't stand it anymore. I called the neurologist in hopes to speak with the nurse about it and the neurologist herself called me back. I couldn't believe it when I heard the doctors voice, I love it!! That is just the best feeling, knowing this doctor cares enough to call me herself. So I explained the reaction from the Keppra, and she apologized a million times and said that it wasn't a normal reaction from Keppra and she thinks that it was from the fact that Kaitlyn was sick and it just made the situation worse. She said that if we were willing to try it again she thought it would be worth the try. So we are starting it again tonight. I am anxious for this to work, I just hope that I am not getting my hopes up to high. I am tired of the behaviors, this is not Kaitlyn. I know that she can't control her outbursts most of the time but I don't like seeing her hurt her little brother. He doesn't deserve for her to hit him, and she doesn't deserve to be so confused and angry by what is going on with her. I just hope that Keppra treats her better this time around. We will see, I don't know how I will feel if it makes her all loopy again, that was just horrible!! Well I should be off, its time for her nap to be over and time for me to be the mediator between her and her brother!!! Keep your fingers crossed for our luck with the Keppra.
