...but I just have to say hello. I'm thrilled to find a community of individuals who have this particular thing in common with me, because all my other family and friends, sympathetic and helpful as they are, just don't dig me when I'm trying to explain what's going on inside of me. Sometimes it's difficult for me to find the words, and I have a fair vocabulary, because I just can't make the connections upstairs. I tend to think this is simply med-related, because I haven't had an episode in months. I'm on Lycosamine, Topamax, and Lamictal, along with Diovan for hypertension. So it's quite a cocktail. Still, things are better than a few years ago, pre-Lycosamine, when I was loaded on Topamax and Lamictal. My short term memory was shot. I couldn't find the simplest word to complete many of my spoken thoughts.

As I said, things are better. They could be much worse. When I get REALLY down, I just think of some unfortunate worse off than me and my perspective adjusts itself.
