Big week for the rising fighter. Had my first real sparring match with a 38 year old psychiatric nurse on Wed. These boxers will apparently really hit you. Scary but fun though. She is a good bit better than me but I learned a lot. Down 17 lbs so far. Another 13-18 to go.

Heard a member of the LA Guitar Quartet in concert tonight, William Kanengiser. Amazing and uplifting. Plus he read my crazy brochure and he liked it.

Off to the mountains for a long training run for the first time since I was sick. Chilly and its 1AM. Better hit the sack for an early day tomorrow.
