I recently had brain surgery on wednesday November 27, 2013. Its been a little over a week and everything has been going well. I havnt had anymore seizures since before my brain surgery. They had to remove a part of my brain. The simple partial seizures i was having on the left side of my brain no longer exist. Todays date is only December 6th, but even to go that long without having a seizure is amazing to me and i am very thankful for it. They cut open my head and took out the peices in my brain that were causing me to have discharges. My head is still very sore. They shaved some of the hair in the back of my head off to get the focal point so that they could get to that exact point without any issues. I still take my medication daily and will for the next 2 years to make sure everything is ok. When i say that to people they tend to ask "if your taking meds then how do you know if the surgery worked?" and my answer to that question is because while i was on my medication i was still having discharges. Now i have nothing and i can take my meds as i please. Im not on such a set schedule. Now dont get me wrong, i'm not 100% comfortable, but i do feel better about everything. I still have my reservations when it comes to things. I Haven't driven or anything and when i do go outside with someone for a short period of time to get out the house, even if its to the grocery store. I make sure my head is covered up. Covered up wih clean products. So that nothing gets infected, and the area stays clean.
Need help very badly, please!
