Hi ! I've been having financial problems at home - my husband's pension details have come through and they aren't quite as bright as we expected. We were both in shock, if you like, for about a week. I thought I would have a nocturnal attack (the only sort I get, apart from absences during the day sometimes) but I was lucky... All that happened was that I became very depressed, weepy and angry about the whole situation at home.
My memory was affected, too. I can't remember things that happened just before we heard the news or things that happened while we were adapting to it. My dreams have been all about missing buses or not knowing where I was - symbolic, I suppose. How have any of you reacted to a stressful situation ? I'd be interested to know. Also, I am going to discuss this with my doctor - in case its a first sign of Alzheimers. This is what severed depression can do to you. it seems.
