My husband has been on dilantin for over 10 years to treat his seizures, he went toxic about 2 years ago , and they never did figure out why. But since then we have lowered his dose over 100 mgs and his levels keep peaking closer to the toxic level. When I ask the Doc why he says it could be the medical smoke, or the valuim should be weaned off of. I disagreed with both as the smoke is the only thing in 10 years that along with the valuim has FINALLY TOTALLT CONTROLLLED his attacks. So I was just wondering what input others have on this subject or have experinced.
