Women with Epilepsy - Crystal started this new group for women with epilepsy. Epilepsy affects women differently than men, and women may cope with epilepsy differently as well. Seizures may change at many life stages, from puberty to menopause, because female hormones and childbearing may have enormous effects on seizures for many women with epilepsy. Crystal wanted to start this group to have a place to talk about these issues and get to know others with the same problems. Come join this group to converse and find out information that can help you both medically and socially.

Wearable Seizure Detection – This group was started to explore the technical and commercial path to developing a practical, wearable seizure detection and alert system. The group will develop an understanding of intellectual property, prior art, and previous/current commercial efforts around this space. We’ll also explore how best to promote and incent activity to create such a device. Threads on business issues, as well as patient perspectives, would be valued and welcomed!
