Epilepsy News From: Thursday, November 08, 2018

Researchers at the University of Minnesota are looking for teens (ages 13 to 19) with epilepsy to participate in an online program designed to help youth manage their epilepsy and take charge of their health.

Part of a project called Youth, Epilepsy, and Successful Self-Management (YESS!), the online self-management program will involve surveys as well as online engagement and activities. The study will last 8 weeks.

The website being tested will have information on:

  • How epilepsy impacts your everyday life
  • Understanding healthcare services
  • Mental health
  • Physical health

People who participant in the research project will be compensated $25 for the first survey, $25 for taking the second survey and engaging with the website, and $50 for the third survey.
