Teens Needed for Online Self-Management Study

Researchers at the University of Minnesota are looking for teens (ages 13 to 19) with epilepsy to participate in an online program designed to help youth manage their epilepsy and take charge of their health.
Part of a project called Youth, Epilepsy, and Successful Self-Management (YESS!), the online self-management program will involve surveys as well as online engagement and activities. The study will last 8 weeks.
The website being tested will have information on:
- How epilepsy impacts your everyday life
- Understanding healthcare services
- Mental health
- Physical health
People who participant in the research project will be compensated $25 for the first survey, $25 for taking the second survey and engaging with the website, and $50 for the third survey.

YESS is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is one of the Managing Epilepsy Well (MEW) Network sites. The MEW Network is a research partnership that works to promote epilepsy self-management research and improve the quality of life for people with epilepsy.
