CBD for Epilepsy Lecture

On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., FACES and the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center will host the evening's Peace of Mind Lecture - Cannabidiol for the Treatment of Epilepsy - presented by Daniel Friedman, MD.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a pre-lecture social. The lecture will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m.The lecture will take place at the NYU Medical Center, Alumni Hall B, 550 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016.

Admission is FREE. Please register online by Monday, December 1, 2014. Capacity is limited.

Following the event, a video of this lecture (as well as past lectures in the Peace of Mind series) will be available online on the Peace of Mind page of the FACES website.

About the presenter:

Daniel Friedman, MD, is an epileptologist and a clinical neurophysiologist at the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. He is also the SUDEP editor for epilepsy.com.

Dr. Friedman received his medical degree from Case Western University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his internship at NYU Langone Medical Center and his neurology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at the Neurological Institute, Columbia University Medical Center. In addition, he completed an additional year of training in translation epilepsy research studying models of seizure modulation and epileptogenesis.

FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures) is affiliated with NYU Langone Medical Center and its Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. FACES funds research to improve epilepsy care, advances new therapies, and fosters a supportive community for children, families and caregivers who live with the challenges of epilepsy.

The mission of FACES is to improve the quality of life for all those affected by epilepsy and seizures. Its goal is to find a cure.
